This first CD edition of The Virgin Album monkey note and along with the album, single mixes monkey note and Blondon Fair, also to be included is never before heard demo versions of The Craft, Blue Powder Monkey monkey note and This Is War. The Hatseller and the Monkeys

This is an African portrayal of the familiar story of the hat salesman whose inventory is purloined by monkeys. Author Baba Wague Diakite illustrates this adaptation with vibrant full-color ceramic-tile paintings of the scampering simians flaunting the colorful African hats. Small additional black-and-white drawings of monkeys tumble along each page`s borders. The stymied salesman monkey note and the mischievous monkeys make imaginative sound effects as they harangue each other, ideal for reading aloud. The moral is that it`s easier to think straight after a meal; the peddler finally outwits the primates after he eats some mangoes. An author`s note elaborates that variations of this tale crop up throughout the world, monkey note and this interpretation is a good companion to Esphyr Slobodkina`s classic 1940 version CAPS FOR SALE.
