This collection includes nine episodes of the innovative cartoon series, which featured a total of 52 episodes overall. Revolving around an adventurer named Clutch Cargo (and his pals: Spinner, Paddlefoot, charmed episode series television and Swampy), the series was the first to use the Synchro-Vox animation system. Created by combining still animation cells with footage of live actor's mouths, this technique (which would later be used for comic purposes in shows such as LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIEN) made the show unique. Relying more on dialogue charmed episode series television and plotline than on special effects, it was the show's handmade quality (cardboard character cutouts were often used in the background) that gave it its charm. Each episode of the series was composed of five, five-minute segments, the story being resolved only in the last chapter.
